sr hesitates at 4-5k rpm

I am having trouble with My s13 blktop det in my s14, when i stomp on the pedal the rpm goes up to 4k and starts to break up until 5 k and then clears up at 6k , i have no idea why am running 10lbs of boost walbro pump , hks front mount , 3'exhuast , but if i gradually go on the gas like if am driving on the highway it passes 4k , works like a dream , but if , lets say "drag race" it would just break up at 4-5k rpm , would my prressure regulator cause this prob , cuz one time i had to blow it out and the car worked fine now the ar is acting up again ! help please someone!!!!

intake to the turbo have any holes after the MAF? Sounds like during ur boost is when you're having problems. I know i stutter when i gun it, but because the readings are off, more air than fuel. If anything try what works best, blow out ur pressure reg.

Check your plugs. Gap them to 28 if they are not already, and make sure they are still good. I had a similiar problem when i upgraded to a 2871. Might be the problem might not but its a start. Let us now what happens.

check for leaks in the charge piping yet. How do the plugs look?
