I just bought a non running SR swapped hatch. I got it running but not very well. Who in Chicagoland has time to help a KA-T owner get acclimated to the SR?

What kind of problems are you having? I'm in chicago and i know most of the guys that helped me out with my swap work for beer. You working on it at the shop or at a personal garage?

My name is Kevin and my cellphone is 630 643 1397.

Its at the shop right now (Arlington Hts). I didnt want to bring it home (Palatine) till I get it to run right.

I just bought a non running 91 hatch with a redtop swap in it. I noticed right away that there were two issues with it. The vacuum lines were AFU and the metal IAC feed tube was capped off and not run to the cold side pipe. I straightend those issues out this morning and proceded to check everything else out.Compression test good.Getting spark.Getting injector PW.Fuel pressure good.CAS positioned correctly.Boost leak test OK

It took a long time but I did get it to fire and run. Got the timing set to 15° with TPS unplugged.

Here is the issue I am having. Its not running right. It will idle all day long but has issues reving up and driving. It just falls flat at higher rpms when free reving and wont accelrate well when driving.

Did you replace the fuel filter? What fuel pump is in there?

I did check fuel pressure.. seems to be all good... I did not replace the filter yet....

Not sure on the pump yet.

Both issues would cause the car to run lean though... My feeling is the car is running rich. I am leaning towards a MAF issue but have not ruled out injector o-rings either..
