I read that someone said that buying a sr20det front clip was good to do. Anyone got anything neg to say about this? The sr engine i was thinking of getting was the s13 red or black since ther basicly the same i read but than then the s14 has the vvt thing for better resp. Is it hard to find part for the s14 rather than the s13?

Clip is gennerally considere3d the best way to purchase the motor set. If you are asking about which SR to get you should do some more research about the differences. If you plan on really high HP then the easiest is an s13 SR. If you are going to only do slight mods then the s15 with vvt is prolly a good place to start. there are many other factors that weigh on your choice of SR's. you can generally find parts for all of them nowadays. I bought a front clip and HIGHLY RECOMMEND it for people who are inexperienced with SR's or the swaps. It really helps to be able to see where everything goes and judged versus people who don't have a front clip my wiring it much cleaner. And as regards which SR to pick. I don't know about the others but the redtop is a freakin warhorse. Seriously this motor takes abuse and laughs for more at the end of the day. The added complexity of the VCT as it is called gives me the idea that it can't improve reliability.
