Thats definatly a RB20 transmission, and the flywheel looks like an RB20 as well. I dont know what flywheel cross-reference number that RB's use, Ive heard a Z31, but I wouldnt believe that until I saw some proof.

Im in the progress of replacing the clutch in my RB right now, I just ordered a Clutch Masters clutch kit w/o the flywheel from a NA Z32. I suggest you do the same and send that kit back and just have your flywheel resurfaced...

could you measure the diameter of the clutch? if the clutches to big I wonder somebody stuck a flywheel from a L series on it some of them are 225 mm the RB 20 is supposed to be 240 mm

My new clutch looks to be the exact same size as the OEM one, give or take 1mm possibly. Sounds like they sent you the wrong clutch, order a good clutch for a 95 300ZX NA from a reputable company like Clutch Masters or Exedy, youll end up spending more money, but youll like the pedal feel and grab a new clutch from one of those companies offers.

CM has like 7 different stages, I got a stage 3 (FX300) kevlar solid sprung disc thats rated to a ballpark of about 350-400hp with a wear life of about 70k miles. I paid 378 shipped for the clutch kit and 52 for resurfacing the flywheel. Best deal IMO.

Ill post some pics of my install if ya want as soon as I find my camera...

Yeah, I just read that thread. It definatly makes a difference. I didnt know you did a auto-manual swap...

Get ready for a kick in the nuts because flywheels arent cheap, and are pretty hard to find used.

z32 90+ 300zx should bolt on to the rb flywheel. measure your flywheel diameter, make sure they are 225mm, if not then you may have a non-factory flywheel;

cheap solution: D21 (nissan hardbody truck) flywheel will bolt on to the RB and you can use Z32 clutch on it. It's the same size as the RB's flywheel. you should be able to get the D21 flywheel from your local part store, if you dont mind the oem weight, but it's not too bad.

lighten flywheel is nice, but you can't beat under $100 for an oem replacement flywheel. any 1991-1997 4cyl nissan d21(hardbody) pickup
