don't think you can bore it without using sleaves, it's already been discussed about 2 days ago, a decent machanic should know how to port and polish a head.

you'll need someplace with a Tourqe Plate. only place in cali with one for the sr20det as far as i know is JWT. So there is your answer unless u want to send the motor out cross country :)

Signal Auto USA is in cali...if you want it done right, and done to perfection go with them...a lot of those guys have been tweaking SR's since they were old enough to walk...but i'd expect a heavy price...

I'd suggest you re-think your plans then... If you over bore you need new pistons, so you're probably looking at over $400 right there. Another $400 min for the machining. Then I'm guessing at least $400 for the head work. You'll also require complete gasket set, and you'll have labor to take it all apart and presumably you want it assembled correctly?

You're looking at $2k minimum, my guess. Call one of the shops mentioned and get a rought estimate, but i think your dreaming for $1k or less...

i actually wont need to rethink my plans, because the reason i need to overbore is because im gettin new pistons and what not, im just talking about block work alone man not other miscellaneous parts around it

People I would call and ask around:

MotorexXS EngineeringMcKinney Motorsports (rape usually though)

I'd try XS first, they do a lot of work, pricey, but good. McKinney does really good work too, but they are overly expensive. $5300 stock SR20 swaps are freaking ridiculous.
