I searched.

All I want is simple. I just want the fans to come on when the key is on. I know alot of people say this is to much wasted power or whatever, but I have had other cars where this is done. But never done it myself. So I have 2 fans, I just want to wire them to something so when the ignition is on they come on. Thanks.

Why not just hook them up to an external switch? Thats what I'm gonna do. I wouldn't want my fans running on a cold start it would be a waste.

It's as easy as power - switch - load (fans) - ground

i dont reccomend running the fans all the time but its your car....If you want them on all the time the eaisest way is to find a wire in the fuse/relay box (that has 12v w/key on) that you either dont need or you can safely rob power from. take that wire and send it to the power side on the fan. send the other wire to ground and ur done.

I would suggest going to your local parts store, spending $25 getting the kit, and doing it right.

Broken Arrow?! Really?! I grew up there.

Anyhow, I would wire up a seperate relay and it's own +12V Source from the battery.

I would run a wire from the + battery terminal to the switched side of the relay, then the other side of the switched to the fans + and then ground the fans somewhere on the chassis near the fans.

For the signal side of the relay tap into something that has a constant 12V when the car is on or key is in the ACC position, whichever you prefer. You shouldnt be picky as to where you wire this as it will not pull hardly any amps. Then ground the signal back into a factory ground or the chassis.

If you need more/better help just let me know.

This is exactly what you're needing to do. If you need help let me know, I come into town every once in awhile.

Haha, I grew up in BA as well. I'm actually typing this post from BA.
