K im almost done with my swap, test drove it but everytime i shift, the rpm would just drop like a brick and car would die out. Any idea what could cause it? Idles fine, drives fine, only does it when i shift or put it back to neutral.

If you have an atmospheric BOV then thats your problem. Lightened flywheel could augment the problem.

i vent to atmosphere and it drops quick...but it hardly stalls....but try recirculating thats the first thing i would do.

isnt there a way that HKS SSQ wont open all the way to let the maf recover?

Yes, but then the turbo will get compressor shock. You can turn the spring so that it wont release under max load, but still release as soon as the the engine is switched into neutral.

what you CAN do is adjust your springs...cuz i think ur issue is that it's not closing fast enough...or opening too far...i have a TurboXS type H...it's popular for atmospheric w/o any fuel management because it dosent open under idle, but can still handle up to like 20 psi or something like that...but yeah, look into adjusting your springs

K just for the hell of it, i decided to push the screw all the way in...drove it round the block and it kinda helped a bit but would still bog. Put the screw back out a bit. How the hell do you know how tight it should be with out shocking the turbo? The HKS SSQ fluttering sound almost sound like turbo flutter doesnt it? I cant re-circ since this bov cant be re-circ. I got it manageable enough where if i pop it out of gear and barely tap the gas round 1k, car will recover now instead of completely dying.

get a different blow off valve. bogging sucks.my car did it for a whilemy dad works at a machine shop, so i had him make a flange so i can recirculate my blitz bov, and my car runs way better now, no backfires anymore(i am kinda bummed on that actually)just recirculate, don't half *** and deal with it stallng and crap.
