first things first. I haven't heard that the SR is restictive if you do it right. Start of with a nice header back exhaust and a few other bolt ons and be happy. Maybe later down the road invest in a Greddy high flow intake manifold and throttle body. But then you might as well upgrade the turbo and injectors. You decide.

Yeah the biggest restriction on the SR motors is that pesky turbo. But after you remove that and put a nice header back exhaust you should definitley feel a difference.

Seriously though, yes a turbo back exhaust would probably be one of the best upgrades to get after doing the swap. a nice 3" downpipe along with a 3'' exhaust system of your choice would be the ideal combo. It will also allow you get the most out of any future upgrades. I would not trust the stock exhaust system for any more than just a temporoary setup.

As far as intake manifold and larger throttle body, you can leave that for way down the line, there is pleanty more that can done before they become an issue.

You will have plenty of power with the t25 for your needs. There are plenty of guys that drift stock KAs and are really good. It's suspension and LSD that you need to worry about in the drifting department.

I am making 252lb/ft with just bolt-ons so I think I have plenty to get the tires smoking.

[disclaimer]I am not a drifter nor have I ever drifted. On Zilvia and FA there are plenty of true drifters that can give you all the tips that you need[/disclaimer]

I Built my sr20 in my friends garage with a couple of my friends. I've owned a 240 for about 2 years and i DRIFTED at a track several times and daily drive it and drag race it ill tell u...the best thing for the exhuast is get a good 3" down pipe and the apexi n1 exhuast. With my stock ehuast and stock IC i ran 14.122(with my KA the best time i turned was a 15.743) in the 1/4 mile and with a full cat back ran a 13.893 so it does make a big diffrence and now with a front mount greddy IC and the boost up to 13psi i ran a 13.213 with it so its fast but the only draw back is slight turbo lag but its not too bad if you ice down the turbo after every run. Oh and buy a LSD rear if you wanna driftand keep it over 3500rpms when u come in to turns becuase it has **** for bottom end power but its top end is amazing.
