I bought a SS DP from cip motorsports, and it ALMOST fit... so damn close. so I cut the DP near the cat flange, had it tig welded... we also had to move the hanger on the DP.

So they do fit with minor modification on a KAT with the F-Max kit... should be the same for any KA kit that bolts u p to the stock exhaust.

PS- anyone else do this and not have to modify anything ? I got the cat with the flanges already welded onto it...

I use the Project Silvia 3" DP and Test Pipe. 1 cut and reduction in height, it sat too close to the ground. Another cut to angle it correctly to line-up w/ my N1 Dual.

I also tapped into the DP to vent WG exhaust. That's the only pic I have currently, I'll take a better pic sometime...

Thanks for the compliments. About the DP, I also removed the hanger but didn't re-attach it. The N1 Dual holds its own weight and does fine supporting the 3" DP and straight pipe.

The SR DP is definitely not plug and play, that's one of the many prices we pay for rocking the 2.4s...

I just received my Turbonetics turbo kit which i think is basically the same and the instructions (if you can call them that) are barely even english. When i read how to replace the fuel pump the first step was to remove the back seat, and when i did I found no access to the fuel pump at all!! Seems like these instructions are very sketchy and untrustable. have you found any better writeups brage?

If you can't find the the fuel pump, you're gonna need all the help possible! Here's the install guide to the XS Engineering Kit. It will be of super help:

Thanks for the link Jesse, these instructions make a hell of alot more sense than the Turbonetics ones. I'm guessing you probably ran into the same problem with the Fmax kit.....

I used the FSM right after i found out that the instructions were completely wrong and got the pump installed. The more carefully i read the instructions the more mistakes i find as well as questionable procedures ( for example drilling into the oil pan while its still on the car). For now i'm relying on the FSM and these forums for help.

I didn't even receive instructions w/ the F-Max kit :)

I drilled into the oil pan while still on the car. You tap it by hand so it's easy to take the shavings out. In addition, flush the oil once complete.

If you find oil fittings that don't fit, run to your local auto store to source them (1/8NPT vs 1/8BST). Also, the SS oil send line was too short to run beneath the engine so I used a basic steel brake line ($1) into the oil pressure sending T, down towards the oil pan, then connecting the SS line to the turbo.

Email me if you need more help.
