I ordered an exhaust, turbo back. But the company said they "ran out of downpipes"....? lol. So I'm looking for a downpipe. 3" on ebay are pretty cheap. But there are a lot of different kinds.

My question is if it matters which kind I get, or are all of the SR20DET 3" downpipes pretty much the same?

Let me know what you guys think.

did they have the turbo outlet elbow? you could get the circuit sports elbow and downpipe in one. costs 275 bucks i think? or if you are on a budget, just get a megan racing dp. their exhaust products are pretty decent.

All sr downpipe are pretty much the same,But the cheap ebay ones will aways have bad to VERY bad fitment..Thats why you want to go with a name brand downpipe..So your not hitting your pipe on the road everywere you go..And sometimes with those cheap ebay pipes the flanges are not always perfectly flat and wont seal with a gasket..Just spend a few extra bones and get a name brand pipe and be happy with it..

The exhaust goes like this 1.Turbo elbow 2. Downpipe 3. Testpipe or Hiflow cat 4.and catback exhaust. Some companys make the turbo elbow and downpipe as one..Or downpipe and testpipe as one..

Yes

Reason being the turbo elbow stok i very restrictive and smaller than most after market setups. If you can find an elbow with divided tubes its even better because the further down streat the wastegate exhuast is the better flow.

don't get megan, their ground clearance sucks. the flex peice will end up getting a hole in it from scrapping everything. circuit sports FTW

I just installed a Megan on a swap and it didnt look like it would hit... How low are your alls cars that your hitting the frame rail?

my flexpiece on my downpipe was almost an inch and a half lower than the frame rail.

since then, i went to the muffler shop and got it modified... he chopped off maybe about 2 inches on the downpipe and brought the exhaust piping closer to the car. cost me about 30 bucks
