first picture :fuel lines are backwards : ) second picture: yellow wire is check connector, the brown plug is a resistor and check connector for the ign coils all the wires in this one dont go anywhere in the swap.the third picture looks like the knock sensor plug, but im not sure. if it is plug it in.fourth picture is the check connector from the first picture? and the fifth picture almost looks like a transmission sensor plug.

if it is the knock sensor, plug it in, and switch around the fuel lines. hopefully it starts.

if im wrong... im sure someone will step in and scold me. but those wires on mine dont get anywhere and it runs soooo....

knock sensor is below the intake manifold roughly the center of the block. higher than the oil filter, lower than the coolant lines. looks like a black circle with a wire coming off of it. i am sure the fuel lines are back wards. dont know if it will run without the knock sensor in, if it does, it might run a little rich or lean.... just switch those fuel lines and find out.

Are you running the same fuel pump that pumped into that dirty fuel filter? Have a friend listen for the fuel pump to prime when you turn on your ignition. If you don't hear anything, listen closer....still don't, you might pull your pump and check for action?

Can't tell from the pics, but is your brake booster vacuum line hooked up? If not then hook it up!!

Check to see if you can hear the fuel pump turn on as mentioned. Its pretty loud so if someone does put their ear next to the area where the fuel pump is, they should be able to hear it.

Have you checked your compression?

Also check to see if you're getting spark to your spark plugs.

Double check the timing.

Its got to be a wiring issue then. I'd unwrap all the wire loom on your harness and triple check all the wires and make sure ALL grounds are grounded. Look for possible wires touching. Or you're ECU might be bad.

Look at the FSM and print out the section that shows you the grounds.

10 seconds of searching "ORANGE SPARK" in google gave me quite a bit of info....

"The orange spark is your answer. It should be blue/white. It means you have a weak ignition....."

Its your timing i am almost certain of it i had the same symptoms with mine and went through and redid the wiring lke 3 times ........ pull your valve cover and rotate until #1 piston is up (tdc) and see if your cam lobes are pointing @ eachother then pull ur cas sensor and look for the two marks if there present then you were close enough to fire and go to frsport.com for timing details mine was out 180deg fixed the time and she lit right off .....and i left the valve cover off just in case i was off ....... oil everywhere G/L

He just mentioned his spark was ORANGE which means WEAK SPARK.

I have an extra Q45 ignitor for sale if you need one, works fine.

My car did the same thing and I noticed that I misunderstod the the wiring directions from frsport.com. THere is 2 red wires that must be hoked up 2 other wires not one as the FAQ kind of tracks you at the end. I failed to hook up the Blue w/ red stripe to Black w/ red stripe. that helps.

one last thing before i cut into the wiring. there is a ground on the back of the valve cover that i think is suppost to be grounded to the chassis i believe... is that true? i think its suppost to ground the injectors .... if so is it ok if it is grounded to the engine itself...

yes...a ground just needs a metal source. The engine block is a much better ground than the engine bay because of the paint. However resistance increases with heat but w/e just ground it to the engine.
