i have been putting this motor in for way too long, who knows how long it sat with no oil or anything before i had it. but i have had it sitting for 4 months now, now oil or anything

now that i have everything ready to go in car, all fluids filled, i did a compression test

cyl1: 130cyl2: 130cyl3: 120cyl4: 135

could the compression be low because the motor simply has not be hot in a long time? or is this compression ok?

thanks

i have seen motors like that before. put a teaspoon of oil in spark plug hole and try the compression test again. let us know what it does.

you also might want to check your HG thickness. mine came with an aftermarket HG (1.5mm) and I have compression of 135 across the board.

before i do it, what does the teaspoon of oil physically do to change anything?

also, im not getting any fuel, (im dealing with the problem of the fuel pump not running when i turn the key)

would no fuel be affecting my compression? (logically it seems like it might)

what do you think?

if your rings are leaky, the bit of oil will temporarially seal them. if you do the compression test, and then again with the oil, and the numbers jump more than 30 psi, your rings may be worn

when you do a compression test, your injectors should be unplugged so they don't spray fuel everywhere, and cause you to get a higher # than it actually is.

Was it a warm compression test?
