I'm was getting ready to swap shells and thought that I should build the old SR while it was out. My expectations are not to make the most power ever, lol. I want somewhere in the neighborhood of 350 wheel horsepower, and I want it to run forever. This build is as follows.....thus far more to come

SR redtopevery new gasket and o-ringnismo thermnew slave cylindernew clutch master cylindernew z32 brake master cylindernew coolant temp sensornew IAVC valveCP pistonseagle rods1.2mm cosworth head gasketnew front cover new water pumpnew timing chain kit2871 .64z32 maftuned ecu555 nismo injectors or 720cc??greddy oil pan and relocation kitARC old school bovfront mount 30x12x3nismo fprswain coated oem exhaust manfold extrude honed intake manifold (black powdercoated)tomei rastomei oil block adapterbalanced and blueprinted

I'm trying to hold out on the headwork as of yet....

I think that old SR was tired anyway...getting massive blowbypics coming soon of shell and motor....

Anything else I SHOULD do while I'm in there (OEM stuff I mean)

That list is similar to mine, but i opt with the gt2860rs instead of gt2871r. post up dyno charts when you're done and feed back on the turbo, response, power, etc.

Dont you have a build thread?? I think a lot of people are doing similar builds, fact is that this seems to be one of the best setups going theses days. I thought about the 2860, I have just gotten so much good feedback from people on the 2871 .64 that it is hard not to jump on one. These are the best turbos for the SR. At least from personal experience (ridden in ha;f a million SR setups, lol) and feedback. It will take me about a month from start to finish. I should start on it in a week and a half. Goin on vacation, my dad is getting married. That gives me time for the parts to start rolling in. Any other OEM parts that I should order??Anything else I should replace not listed above. Thanks

555cc injectors are good to 300whp on pump gas, 400whp on race gas. I'd run 740's, bigger, may have idle issues, but good to 400whp on pump, and once you add cams/cam gears/etc., you can get to 400whp on that turbo, just check out Codyace's build.

I have been following that build for a long time....Codyace knows his $hit it seems. He did do a pretty gnarley build. In the end our motors will probably be pretty similar (except for maybe different cams, or whatnot)Like I said above it seems to be one of the better setups for our motors

Got everything has been ordered except for the bearings. I need a standard sized bearing and just dont know what to go with, any suggestions?? One better than the other, I saw the power enterprises and they were outrageous, lol. Dont know if they are worth it. I ordered the CP pistons in 8.5 to 1. Then I realized that a lot of people do 9 to 1?? I thought 8.5 would be the best for the application...Any input on bearings would be great. Pics coming of the bare block, and the surprisingly clean stock internals. Everything looked perfect, lol. Pics on Sunday hopefully.
