sr blow off valve

Just wondering when you upgrade the blowoff valve on an sr motor with the stock side mount, how do you eliminate the stock valve? Every picture I see of aftermarket bovs on cars with stock side mounts, the new blow off valve is mounted on the ic pipe up top in the engine bay, not down in the fender well. Thanks

Maybe I'm missing your question, but not just plug the pipe on the SMIC the stock BOV is attached to? Seems pretty simple to me.
