sr block question

wondered if s13 sr, and s14 sr blocks are the same, i know the head's are different, but yeah. thats all thanks.

If the block was the same and the head was the same it wouldn't be a s14, it would still be an s13.

the heads are definitely not the same. S14s have VTC, whereas S13s do not. Also, the S14 also uses a lower ported head, probably for emissions. The S13 has a high port head, allowing it to flow better.

To answer your question, the blocks are the same, save for a few fittings (IIRC). Nissan blocks of different generations tend to be the same if they are from the same family (SR, RB, VG, CA, etc), but the heads will get updated to help improve performance or emissions.
