sr and abs=no abs? -s13 (searched)

hey i have a 91 hatch with abs and im having the swap done right now. i was told that you cant keep the abs when you have the SR. Is this true? I'm not all that concerned because i've never had a car with abs before anway, but the car had it so i'd like to keep it if i could. and yes i searched and couldnt find any definative answers.THanksSean

the ecu doesnt control the abs at all?

I've had my swap for almost 2 years and my abs still works, as primitive as it may be.

abs runs of a sperate computer and uses the abs sensors in the wheels. no connection to the engine whatsoever
