i remember awhile ago (i believe it was here on nico too) i read you can use a certain nissan truck's alternator on the SR, as long as you redrill the holes.

the advantages to this conversion is more efficent, along with cheaper (new)

now which damn alt was it!? i know one of you guys know what im talkin about(and yes, i did )

im running a ka24de alternator off of any stock 240 motor. the only difference is u need to drill out the threaded mounting hole (sr's dont have threads in that hole) and use the pully from the stock sr alternator. i havent had any problems w/ it!

buy the ka24 alternator and it will be obvious what you have to do when you see the 2 next to eachother. took me no time at all to swap.

so to answer ur question...i guess its an alternator off of a ka24 powered hardbody pickup..lol

you could buy a blown ka alternator from a junkyard for nothing then have a alternator shop reuild it and bump up the amps

why cant u do it to the sr... if im running a KA alternator on an SR right now.... and people run a quest alternator on a KA.....then that means u can run a quest alternator on an SR right..

i think thats sum property of algebra i learned in highschool or sumthin...if a=b and a =c then b=c... haha

you would think so.. but size and clearance seems to be the issue for the setup of the SR..
