I'm so Pissed...had Skyler in today for oil change and told them to do something about the brakes squealing. Oh, they drove it and they couldn't make it squeal. OMG, everytime I stop the car they squeal. It is so embarassing! Arrg! I'm sick of it.

They always try to make me feel like I'm an idiot.

Mine squeals pretty bad also. Doesn't this have to be 1 of 2 things?? Either pads or rotors? Does anyone know if better, aftermarket pads help?

Mine are bad right now, I just don't want to change them until I've used them up.

But yes aftermarket pads should help.

Sometimes you will get an intermitten squeal. Mine mostly comes when I'm backing up. Sometimes whenever I am driving forward, and braking I get a small squeal. The pads are fine, its just the design I'm guessing. This is normal tho, unfortunately.

Try to go with some aftermarket pads, possibly. And do not ever turn rotors, always replace.

I had some extremely loud NEW nissan pads on my 04 when I bought her.
Replaced the fronts with Akebono pro-act, didn't even turn the rotors and now not a PEEP out of them!! :dblthumb:

Time for new pads! Will eliminate the squealing and redunkulous amounts of brake dust.

If I bought another purse David would kill me.

I was at a Mercedes dealer one day helping my friend (automotive idiot) buy a car. The salesman pointed at the cross drilled rotors and was trying to tell me how there were holes in the little round things that stopped the car so they would stay cool. I looked at him and said "Dude....I know what cross drilled rotors are, don't talk to me like I'm an idiot!"

i just got my brakes pad/rotors resurfaced because of vibration and some squeal... the techs where able to reproduce the problem. my only grip was i told them about it at 6k miles but i wasnt able to bring the car in til 22k miles (thats about 2 months later, i drive alot) it would of been a free fix if i had got it in before 12k miles. i wish they would of told me that. But everything is fine for now with my breaks. I will be going slotted when its time for new brakes.
