the belts/pulleys/something makes a loud squealing noise on cold starts, and goes away when i rev it above 3000, or after it's warmed up, or if i turn it off and keep restarting it 2 or 3 times. the belts were replaced 2200 miles ago by a shop for free, since they owed me 100$. the noise was't present at all a month ago, then i heard it once, then it gradualy got louder/longer/more frequent. could it be my bearings for the pulleys? the belts seem pretty tight on there, they don't flex too much when i push on them, maybe half an inch. If it's the bearings, how do i replace them and how long does it take? if it's something else, how do i replace and how long?

Well it could be a bearing, but most likely your belts are a little bit glazed. Bearings almost always will be heard while running, not just on start up. A You should be able to turn your belts approx 90 degrees. Take a very little bit of white lithium grease and wipe it on the grooved side on your belt. See if that works.Or you could use vaseline cause you probably have alot of it around...jk

After instalation a belt will stretch a little bit. see how the tension is and then start teh motor. If you can see them flopping more than 1/2" (some is normal and cant be helped) then tighten them up a bit.
