OK i just replaced both half shafts. I also reinstalled factory wheels (Had 20's). Now i am getting a squealing sound once i get to around 30-40 mph. i dont here it much when i a running faster. But if i drive next to a building or bridge i can hear a growling sound like if i had worn out brake pads. I had a hard time removing the driver side half shaft from the wheel hub. and now when a take off the car pulls to the left. The harder i accelerate the harder it will pull.I just checked the brakes to see if they where rubbing on the rotor but they look fine. I also checked the dust shield behind the rotor and it too looks OK.I guess it could be a wheel bearing, does anyone have a link on how to remove the bearing. any ideas before i tear into it. Thanks JP

**UPDATE**Problem solved , The jackass (ME) that installed the new halfshafts did not use a torque wrench to torque the axle nut. So i loosend the axle and retightend it to 150 lbs , then loosend it again & retightend it to 150 lb and then 200 lbs. It has not made anoise since. I read that if you overtighten the axle nut you will make the bearing over heat and ruin it. I guess i caught it in time.

At least you were smart enough to use new parts

We worked on a 96 and the owner wanted to put onnew boots over the old halfshafts. The halfshafts cameout when he turned to get a hamburger.

He put new ones in after that
