Hi all, first time visitor here and have a loud squeal from the belt area..It almost sounds like its by one of the pullys...is this common and an easy fix or something I should take it into the shop for. There also seems to be an oil leak in this area as well but can't pin it down but it appears it's seaping down the metal part behind one of the lower pully's. any clues or suggestions on where/what to do...I would want to try and fix it myself before taking it in as I'm somewhat decent with tools....I have 127,000 miles on the vehicle and both issues just started recently....thx for the help ...

You need to find the sorce of the oil leak. The oil has more than likely got on the belt which can make it slip . You need to clean the area with some engine cleaner and look for the leak. As far a sticking pully I would spray a little W-40 behind the pully and try to lubricate the bearing. If the noise stops after this you will know where the noise is coming from but still may have to replace the pully if it is worn out and the noise starts again
