squealing brakes

my 96 maxima's brakes squeal really loud everytime I brake. what causes that and how can i fix it?

There's a small metal clip that touches the rotor if the pad goes low. I bet that's what's happening right now. You should have 2-3mm pad right now. Just replace the pads and squeal should go away.

Found the picture of metal clip. This touches the rotor.
