Squealing Brakes

My brakes squeal only in the morning and after it has set for a while during the day and it only happens when backing up. Any thoughts on this?

With a 2003, how many miles are on your brakes?/ Car?Have you pulled the wheels and inspected the thickness of your pads?You may have reached the wear indicators & the noise you hear is your G telling you telling you that its time for brakes?

I saw the topic and thought you were complaining about my car!!!

The dealer put Nissan pads all the way around and they squeal like a stuck pig!!Going to pull them off the front and put something else on if I can't get them to seat properly.

If you don't have a garage, it could be condensation rusting the rotors. Not a big deal, it just takes a few stops to clear the rotors/pads.

Brake wear indicators will always screech due to a metal clip on the pad (wear indicator) rubbing on the rotor. If the noise goes away, then its not a wear problem.

Thanks for the input, and I don't have a garage and I do notice that their is some rust in the morning. I had my brakes checked they are ok. Once I drive for a few seconds the noise goes away.
