Hi guys! First off: good god, long time since I've been here.

Car just hit 40k miles, did a transmission flush, replaced an oil gasket for free, thank you warranty. The flush obviously had to pay. Anywho...

I have this situation. My brakes have been squealing for quite some time now. I've replaced both front and rear brakes with pro-stop ceramic pads, and even replaced just the rear rotors, thinkings thats where it was coming from because the first set of pads caused the rear to warp a little.

But after all of that it is STILL squealing. Anyone else had the same issue? I was thinking maybe just maybe it was the metal clip that the pads slip into, but its sitting on top just fine. What else may cause this annoyance?

When that happened to me it ended up being the shield behind the rotors. Check your front brakes?

Fixed it!

so what was causing the problem was the the pad wear sensor was placed upright when it should be facing downwards.

Quick fix was switching the pad retainers (gold clips you slide the pads in) so that way the pads were facing upside down (wear sensor upsidedown)
