squealing 240

I was wondering if anyone on the forum could help me with an anoyying noise that is coming from my engine. everytime i drive and i hit 3000rpm or above the engine makes a really loud squealing noise. i already brought the car to a mechanic and he changed the belts but afterwards the noise still persisted. ive been driving like this for a month now and im starting to get irritated...

my dad tried to spray the belts with some dw40 and afterwards the squealing noise only started at 4000rpm but went back to 3000 rpm a day later. Im not really sure what to do please help....car still squeals when doing a free rev...

try changing the belts, wd 40 would only help the belts squeel. it could also be a bad bearing in your alternator or another accesory.

I've got the same squeal but it goes away after a lil bit. my squeal is caused by my power steering and my ac compressor. they squeal at different times so it makes things kinda intresting.

Yup, my power steering makes squealing sound too. If you want to get rid of that noise, check your power steering pump first.
