Just noticed while driving home tonight a squeal at high rpm's. While doing about 65 mph, with windows down and driving in the left lane next to a concrete divider, noticed with WOT and the rpm's between 6 and 6500k a high pitched squeal that instantly goes away with a drop in the rpm's. Everything else about the engine/trans seems fine at all other speeds/rpm's. BTW this is a 90Q, with the guides done. Belts????? Jeff

Alternator, powersteering, & A/C belts and the idler pullies (round things) they ride on.

If pullies have never been replaced then you might as well replace all three. If you fix one, the others will start squeaking soon.

You have to remove all the pullies and spin them fast to see which squeak, but hard to spin it as fast as the engine spins it.....

Or could just be belts are loose??
