What type of blade did you use? If it's not OEM, I'd try that. OEM wiper blades sound like a crazy idea - but believe me, they last much longer. I replaced my Truck's blades with something from Wal-Mart and they started streaking and chattering in a matter of months. My typical Nissan blades last a year or two with no problems.

I second Nissan OEM wiper blades. Mine typically last 2-3 years clearing everything from rain, road sludge, freezing rain, bugs, snow and ice.

Funny that this should come up. Last night I was installing new Bosch blades -- not just the blades, but with replacement blade holders. Turns out that the new Bosch replacements sit about 1/4" higher than the OEMs. Thus, the balde on the pasenger's side is fine as it remains idle above the rear of the hood, the driver's side blade will not clear the rear of the hood in its idle position. I am going to return these and simply get the replacement blades.

try really cleaning the windsheild with rubbing alcohol or mineral spirits to remove any residue.

OEM blades are trash. I bought a set and they were simply awful. Squeaky, streaky, freaking useless.

I used Bosch for a year, which were quite good. Anco didnt last very long. I was pleasantly surprised, however, with Pylon -- Wal Mart's low-end $1.50 brand. It was quiet, easy to install, and got the job done nicely in snow, ice, and torrential rain.

I recently tried Rain-X Ice. That stuff Kicks a$$ on snow, ice and road grime. Its worth the extra $$$ and I use less of it.

Is it called Bartenders "helper -friend "...too cold to go out and look.........fine particles no Comet no brillo. Makes a fine gritty mess, use lots of water to wash clean don't get in on/in wiper blades.........then the alcohol Get the oil from the glass pores.

Remember quality glass is pretty hard [5.5 Mohs ~~ 140 Brinell].......aftermarket is not. Cerium Oxide lens polishing compound works well, also, after a pumice stone/powder process.
