Squeaky Windows

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

A small issue is starting to become annoying. Has anyone experienced squeaky windows during rain and after? It seems to be getting louder, I overlooked it when I first got the car almost a year ago, but it has become annoying. My previous Junkers never had the issue so I wanted to know if it is a common problem before taking it to the dealership.

Tried to look up previous threads but did not find anything. I have a 2012 Journey AWD.

Thanks.

Yes I did have that. The driver side window only but it is the one that gets way more usage as I am 95% alone most of the time. I sprayed some silicone on the window "track" (looks like felt) and it quiets it down a lot. Seems it happens when it is cold as well ( the dealer told me to spray silicon). It has not reoccur in 2 years now.

Silicon spray is ok, but the BEST product to use is called Shin-Etsu grease. It's a product that's used by Honda (you can get it at some dealers) and it's a well-kept secret... stuff is amazing.

Great for not attracting dirt, and should outlast your car. No kidding.

One tube will last a car guy for life. You can also buy it on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Honda-Genuine-Shi ... B006Z9TZ9M
