If you are getting a squeaky sound like a old rusty door closing when you turn....

Its coming from your compression rods. They revised the bushings for these. You have 2 choices, buy a set of revised compression rods (like $350 for both) or buy the bushings (about $40 for both).

In order to swap in/out the bushings you will need to use a hydraulic press. The dealer in my area charges $60 to do both, but I had a friend with a hydraulic press. Improved the handling at high speeds and the squeaky sound disappeared.

Here is a pic of my front left hub. The Compression rod is the metal bar that turns...its just right of the rotor in the picture.

Just a note to people who are thinking about doing this yourself that there is a specific procedure that must be followed. I will see if I can find this procedure as I always replace them and would personally pay someone to do this $60 just to not have to press the bushings out.

if you are getting the squeaky sound when you are turning then you need to swap out your bushings for the revised compression(strut) rods. You can buy them from a dealer for about $40. These are the ones that you want. Then you need to take the rods off your car and have the old bushings pressed out (hydraulic press) and the new ones pressed in.

The specific process that steve talks about is the tool that they use to press the bushings in and out. You need to press them out from one side and press them in from the opposite side. This is important.

I got these rotors from OC Autosport, same place Gwoods got his. I got all 4 for $135 + shipping. Get these with the Hawk pads, steel braided brake lines, and Motul 600 fluid and you are set. You can call them at 714-817-0000 9-6pm PST. They make them to order so you have to wait a few days. i have liked them so far. Gwoods has used his for longer and tracked his some and they have worked for him great too. So, I'd say go for them. You can't beat the price either.

these are the deals I got for all four wheels:____________________rotors $135, shipping $20hawk HPS pads $125Stoptech steel braided brake lines $110ATE Super Blue Brake fluid $20 (exceeds DOT 5.1)

this is a great setup

They can. It's just inadvisable. My Powerslots wouldn't grip the same after turning them.

It's not bad, just different. You don't have to turn your rotors every time you swap out pads. Only when there is run out.

A good set of rotors, if well treated, can easily withstand 3 sets of pads without turning.

Hey your pads are not installed correctly. The metal tab is supposed to be inside the metal loop.
