My g37s is over a year old. For about a few months now whenever I go in reverse and i put on the brakes it makes a loud squeaky noise, but there is no problem when I'm in drive and I put on the brakes. I know for a fact that they don't need changing so I was wondering if anyone else has or had this problem...

You stated you 'know as a fact'. Is this because you replaced them?

its just the pad design, it also happens with some FX models. Nothing to be worried about, but you may be able to get alternate brake pads installed under warranty at the dealer. I dont know if its available for the g37s though...

There are a few things that may cause a noise from the brake area.

-A lack of grease on pads may cause a slight click when the torque direction is changed.

-The rear parking brake shoes may be hanging up on the rotors.

- If you have the Sport brakes on the S model the tend to make a little more noise than the standard brakes but the trade-off if that is increased efficiency and performance.

-Depending on the type of wheel cleaner and how you use it some staining may occur on the rotors and when you drive off after cleaning it the residue builds up on the pads increasing noise potential.
