Whenever I open or close my drivers side door there is a terrible creaking sound. I know that it is the door hinges. I've used WD40 on them and it gets rid of the creaking but it's just a temporary fix. Anybody know what I can use to get rid of the creaking for good besides getting new hinges?

spray white lithium grease on the hinges. wd-40 will evaporate too fast.

I may be wrong on this one but, I think doors have a bushing of some kind of in there. I was told they wear out over time and are a pain to replace - door comes off, replace, put door back on (one of those things that sounds so easy). My doors do the same thing and a buddy of mine said he replaced something in there and it was more of a hassle than it was worth. Lucky for me, I'm losing my hearing. . .

I actually put wd40 on mine when i first got it, cause it had the same problem, it didnt work right then but i opened and closed the door a few times and kinda swung it back and forth and added a little more and it hasnt happened since, ive had the car for about 3 months now.

I sprayed WD-40 and swung the door back and forth. It was fine for a couple of weeks then it would start creaking again. I bought some white lithium from AutoZone the other day but I haven't used it yet. Thanks for the input guys!
