squeaky clutch

hey everyone, just need some info. Recently when i press my clutch pedal it like squeeks or creeks. it really hasnt effected my shifting but i feel embarrased when i shift because of the noise. sometimes when i press the clutch in at a certain point on the pedal it doesnt make the sound. could anyone tell me what this is and how can i fix it?

mine does that when it gets cold. The spring starts to constrict a little and begins squeaking. Best advice I can give you is to spray some WD40 on the spring directly and see if that cures the problem.

well its not really cold down here, but can you tell me exactly where the spring is?

Maybe you got some rain, or parked next to a sprinkler, mine gets like that when its either cold out, or it rains alot or gets doused next to a sprinkler. WD40 hasnt worked for me because it comes back in a few months. So I just deal with it

mine does the same thing when its cold.

i just deal with it .. its not that big of a deal.

Get some lithium grease in a tube. I used that over 2 years and it just now started to come back, so I gotta get down there again and lube it up again.

where would you get this lithium grease in a tube and how much ?

Any automotive shop will carry it, good to keep a nice selection of lubes (automotive in nature) around. Got mine from Nissan - bout 6 bucks for a big tube.
