Hmm....my guess would be OIL. 3-in-1 oil works, it's not brain surgery either =)

haha, this is an easy fix. When that guy said OIL, he meant to oil the spring that is at the top of the clutch pedal (in the car). Spray some oil on that spring up there and it'll go away for a little while...

Yeah, I've been having that problem lately. I figured all it would take is lubricating the spring, because the squeek came from the pedal. I'll oil it soon and see.

haha, i guess i coulda figgered he meant oilin the spring. luke says it will go away for a little while? how do you get it permanently gone. either way that crap stopped happnin today i dunno why i just started driving the car the way i do normally. lately i havent been revvin it up much or letting it idle, been takin my time (had females in the car) I dont like to drive "normal" with females in the car, i find they get scared. and now i dont get no squeakin. weird but im happy

The squeaking used to come and go for me too. It'd come back on a cold wet day and go away the next. I was thinking about taking some random grease and putting it on those springs, that'd probably last longer than some liquid oil. Careful what kind you get or your car will smell like it for a little while.

Yes, it will... I recently took this ****ty tint off my window with acetone... and my car smelled like that for a little while.

It squeaks because the end of the spring connects to the clutch pedal through a plastic bushing, and over time that bushing gets eaten away.

You have two solutions:

1) buy a new plastic bushing from Nissan. It's most likely a special order part.

2) Remove plastic bushing and just lube up the join with some assembly grease (not WD40). The squeaks will be gone, but over a long period of time the contact and friction will eat away the metal on the pedal.

I had this problem too, it eventually got so bad that the clutch pedal would not pop out that last half inch at the top.

I would buy the bushing and some beer to reward yourself after finishing this pain in the ars job.

It is a fifteen minute job that will take one hour of swearing before you figure it out. The part is like $7.42 and is part of the clutch pedal assembly. Be careful not to break anything else while you do it, because the job takes some brut force to get the spring back on.

Good luck!

spray it with white lithium grease then pump the pedal a few times, then repeat that a couple times. that worked for me. haven't had a problem in a year.
