I have non OEM pads and forget what pads I replaced them with off the top of my head, but I will check tomorrow morning and post that information. I also have dimpled and slotted rotors so I do not think that is the problem. The pads have 2k miles on them and started to notice the squeaking after about 1k . Last time the brakes were serviced I switched the OEM rotors to dimpled and slotted, with new pads.sstroudwku wrote:The caliper covers will cause more dust buildup in the caliper. This causes squeaking. Using non OEM pads especially cheap pads will most definitely cause squeaking. Glazed rotors could also be a cause. How many miles? Last time you had the brakes serviced did you have the rotors machined or just slap pads on it?
