Squeaking?!?!

Hello all -

I am new here but have a question for you all. I have a 04 Pathfinder SE and it has an intermitent squeak, mostly at low speeds, sometimes when I hit a speed bump or even when I am not really even hitting anything. It is pretty quiet - usually have to turn off radio to hear it - but it is really annoying. I do not think it is the suspension - I have tried rocking car and shaking it to make the noise and nothing. I have greased hinges on doors and hood and greased hood latch and rubber hood stops - I read this caused a squeaking noise for Xterra's. I am thinking it may be bushings or ball joints but not sure - any ideas for me to check or do to help narrow down where squeak is coming from or what it is?

Does it happen during turns as well? Which direction is the squeak coming from?

There really is no consistency. Mostly squeaks just driving straight. Sometimes at highway speed sometimes at 25 or less. Sometimes when I hit speedbumps sometimes when just going over tiny bumps in road that makes suspension go up and down. I cant get it to do it when I want....frustrating...

I had a squeak coming from my rusty running boards

I took it to dealership to look at it...they said they heard it but could not figure it out and saw nothing leaking so I should be fine. Needless to say I was annoyed about this. I took it to Midas later...they heard the noise and greased the sway bar bushings...noise is gone for now!
