check your belts...they need to be EXTREMELY tight in order for them not to squeal....

Screech, squeal or squeak?

Nothing beats a set of belts that are in good condition (not old/dry/greasy/cracked/glazed), running on clean pulleys and good bearings, and with their tension properly adjusted (neither too loose or too tight=just tight enough that they don't squeal on cold, damp mornings when the engine is started).

From underneath the car you will see these on the Power Steering pump, Alternator and the belt tensioner between the crank and AC. More information can be found here. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/J30/1994_J30/ma.pdf

I took that screenshot off of page 9. You first have to jack the car up and then remove the debris shield. Alternator and AC are pretty straight forward. Alternator is a little tricky. I can explain more in detail if you need me to. Just let me know.

Tools you will need are a 12mm, 14mm 17mm sockets and a 14mm wrench. If you have wratcheting wrenches I'd recommend using those for the adjusting bolts.

If its a loud screech, your flywheel needs replacing.
