Nah, it started after i put the coilovers on, sounds like a rubber type squeaking and sometimes a lovely poping sound.

sorry to hear it, dude. i haven't heard much good about k-sport/d-2's. they're identical from what i gather, and both are very sub-par in quality and performance, so says most people i've talked to that have had them for a while. just a "heads up" for you.

Do the coil springs in the front rub or touch? You should be able to tell by looking at the paint on them.

If so, you'll have to get some of the wrap stuff they make to put on the springs to quiet them.

Thanks for the info guys, im getting desperate now the squeaking and poping sound is terrible, i want to rip these ****ers out and throw them away now, just a few questions

The instructions said do not tighten the lowest perch with the adjustment tool, so i taped the lowest perch with a screwdriver and a hammer but didnt want to mess it up too bad so its pretty snug.

Did you guys have any rubber material between your camber plates and your strut tower?

and naturaly k-sport isnt awnsering my emails.

wooohooo

Thanks

Just use the adjustment tool on the bottom. thats probably your popping and squeaking. Just man up and tighten the **** out of it...

its only when braking, right, what about cornering or backing up? how low did you drop it?

That mekes sense, i was looking at them tonight had them off again, the rubber just looks like it shouldnt be there i think i might take it off tomarrow top and bottom, And for the drop its about 1.5 up front 2 in the rear it mainly squeaks when braking loud as hell, hopefully taking the rubber out will stop it.

i would think that if it were the tire it would constantly be making the squeeking sound. inspect the coils for paint chips...this would be a good indicator of where the rubing could be taking place.

as for the quality of k-sports/d-2's a good buddy of mind is running them on his probe and has had no problems what so ever. i have also never heard of any complaints about the coilovers.

^^^ on that link you should read this.

(That's fine. I thought I linked it.However, I tracked down that "clunking" that I mentioned in the Longterm section. My Ball Joint blew out. It'll be replaced soon.. PDM was backordered.Anyway.. they're still wonderful coilovers, at ~1" under stock height. No problems at all, and ~1000 miles on them.-Jeff )
