Hey guys , my breaks are driving me crazy. I understand that Nissan/Infiniti cars are known for having squeaky breaks, but enough is enough. I have the OEM breaks and pads. I know many of you use breakmotive drilled/slotted rotors, pads etc. I just put new breaks on the rear, and will need new breaks on the front soon. I still have squeaky breaks. What do I have to do to get quite breaks? PLEASE HELP!! :gotme

Did you put that grease stuff that comes with most brakes on the shims?

Also, I didn't know that Infinit/Nissan was known for squeaky brakes...in both my M's they've been quiet unless worn down and needing replacement.

I don't know about that. My brakes never squealed until the pin started rubbing. I don't know about the expensive pads others buy, but I only use Autozone gold pads. Pay once then EVERY TIME they need replacing it's free. I change once a year for new brakes even if it's not needed. Never ever a squeel.

That reminds me...depending on the compound of the pads, some brakes are more noisy.

My OEM brakes sqeaked like crazy. Get some aftermarket ones, like the Brakemotive, and they will not squeak anymore when operating normally.

You HAVE to lube the shims and hardware otherwise they squeak like crazy.
