I am having trouble with the brakes on my 99.5 QX4 squeaking when stopping. I took it to the brake shop and they told me the brakes were fine. I thought it might be buildup so I've tried 'burning' them in but it still persists. Anyone have suggestions?

I've seen a spray that eliminates squeaking to an extent, you're suppose to just spray it on the rotor.

Buy new pads that prevent squeaking. Some pads squeak more than others. It's also the combo of the pad and rotors.

If you just got new brakes, they will squeak in the beginnning.

If they squeak a lot, you're just breaking a lot with out letting them have time to cool off.

I'd just buy new pads and rotors if you haven't replaced them yet. Cant' go wrong spending money on life/death components. I'd get the brembo cross drilled rotors=)http://www.performancerotors.c...d/870

New brakes? Anti rattle plates missing? Did you break in the new brakes? If not spray brake cleaner on rotors and pads, then drive backwards to remove build up of dirt. Spray again and drive frontwards and stop slowly until pads mesh with rotors. Or take apart break sharp edges of pads with file, clean all surfaces of rotors and pads, re-assemble test. Drive and brake gently for a day.
