So my 04 Sentra is making a weird squeakin noise in the engine compartment(1.8 S). i dont think its a belt cause it only does it at idle at any tempature.its not very loud just annoys the hell out of me. Maybe its a pulley? anyway any info would be great.

Take a look at the alternator belt and check for obvious wear. If there isn't any, belt-grease it a little and see if the noise continues.

The 1.8's are notorious for this noise. You are looking at the alt belt and it's related tensioner pulley. The 2.5's are good for doin this too...

Yeah I've worked a couple QG's with that problem....Also seen it on the occasional GA.
