squeak from the rear, drive me insane!!!

ah..... this drives me nuts!!!there is squeak sound coming from rear when i drive over bumps or small pot hole. so i checked and checked my spare tire and took all my stuff out of trunk but still squeak sound is present.man, i really love my EX but this drives insane now.here are other problem i have so far.

1. right turn grunt noise - ive talked to dealer and they will do something about it.2. driver side whistle noise- i can live with that but i will talk to my dealer again.3. driver and passenger door seal replaced.4. driver side sun visor plastic cover flap replace - twice already and i won't use it. NEVER!!!5. rear right side speaker blow out 6. front sonar randomly beep - need to check out7. weird engine vibration sometimes.

come on!! infiniti!!! i know it is 2008 and almost hitting 25000 miles now. it's not like i want brand new car quality or anything. i just wanna drive my beloved EX with no worries. that's all.i know it will be covered under warranty but man... this is such a pain in the a$$. so yeah... just drop me a line or two if you have any experience like this.i wanna hear from you all how unlucky you are with your EX.

Three things things, first, what is "driver side sun visor plastic cover flap"? Does that plastic on the edges, does do anything? There are supposed to be extenders, but if there are I cant figure out how to use them.

Second, I had a slight squeak like you mentioned...it was the front passenger seat. I never would have guessed that was the source, except the squeak disappeared when riding with a passenger helping me find it! I think its caused by the top of the seat meeting the base in just a slight contact situation. Adjusting the seat greatly lessens the issue and I suspect it will work out in time.

Third, the first model year of any car presents issues you would never expect. My last car was a Mazda CX-7 that was in the shop 4 times for a defective gas cap! Just look at how (relatively) more repairs there are for the EX versus the G...the guts are basically the same. I've had no issues with my 2010 (except the VERY minor squeak).

For what it is worth, I have an `08 with about 17K on it, and started having a squeak coming from the rear similar to yours several months ago. It was driving me nuts. At first thought it was the cargo shade, but it was still there even with the shade out of the car. I noticed one day that when the rear center armrest was down, the squeak was not there. Put it up, squeak comes back. I now leave the rear armrest down all the time.

I believe that the sun visor will slide out, not get any bigger but move towards the outside.

I have noticed a squeak/ rattle from the warning tags on the seat belts.

I have the same squeak from the rear with my 08 EX driving me nuts. Will have to try the rear armrest test...

Btw, there's a TSB for the front sonar. It happens at only certain traffic signals, which I can confirm, but the dealer "could not reproduce".

Try removing the cover to the rear center brake light and adjusting the tension of the clasp of the cover. I had a squeek and don't remember exactly what I did to adjust the tension but once you remove the cover you'll figure it out.

I bought a new 08 and have have zero complaints. Absolutely love the car. Have about 23K.

Hope this fixes the noise.
