Square CLear Plastic Thing Just in Front of Rear Wheel

On the side body of my 08 coupe, I have also seen it on others. What is this, and can i take it off? If so how, without removing any paint or damaging car? Thanks in advance.

i know what youre talking about. there was a thread about this before, but idk where... mines starting to yellow, and was also wondering if i could take it off without damaging paint or there being a 2 tone difference

i took mine off. i used a hair dryer and peeled it off with no problems.

LoL i did try to search for "guard" "square plastic" and a couple other functions but didnt even consider sticker...forgive me it was 4 in the morning :P Anyways thanks all for your comments. I have a particularly hard time believeing that this small 4 square inch area is more prone to rock chips or debris damage than any other area on my car, so needless to say, they gotta go. Tnx again.

If the search worked better it would be used more. If it was more of a Google-Type search it would be better, but we're limited to what we have I guess. Honestly, I find sometimes it's faster just going page by page through the forums and reading the topic titles compared to searching most of the time :s.
