I have not had a chance to yank a wheel off and see whats going on. Everything is tight, the car is not wandering or anything like that. I am getting a metallic squeak (sounds like the wear indicator on front brakes) when turning left.

It started a week or so ago, but I am going to fix it before it becomes an actual problem.

My thought was wheel bearing, any other suggestions short of a loose caliper or something of that nature?

There did seem to be a bit of free play when wiggling my wheel back and fourth and up and down. It will be easier to tell when the wheels off tomorrow.

Also, advanced auto can order my bearing. Nissan only offers a hub for 115.

Anybody used an advanced auto kit?

Evan

Also, whats the life on a wheel bearing on an S14? My left rear one was replaced last year. Serious free play!!

pull the wheel off. it could be something else like the top hat for the strut too. but can't really tell till the wheel's off and you've started pushing things around.

wheel bearings just get replaced when they need to be replaced. Gets pretty expensive to do so, but seems like one of those things that needs to be done that not many 40 owners seem to take care of...
