My '08 Rogue had a lot of spyders. I always had webs all over the windshield. Now my '14 Rogue have a lot spyders and my GF's '14 Rogue have spyders as well. Is it just us or others have spyders over here as well? If so, what would be a recommendation to get rid of them? I don't remember seeing spyders in other cars that I used to have such as audi, mitshubishi etc. Thanks in advance.

Funny you mentioned it. I find them near the rear roofline near spoiler, rear window, near the side window visors, side of car, and especially webs on the side mirrors. Kinda like a spider magnet. Never really thought much about it and the nuisance of parking outside.

I just wipe the web away or flick the spider off with my fingers. Happens numerous times actually. :chuckle:

I live out in the boonies and park outside, and I haven't seen a spider in the Rogue yet. Stinkbugs on the other hand... there was even one hiding inside the cargo area light (flew out when I went to change it).

Strange that you mention that. i was at the dealership today and almost all of the Rogues had spider webs under the outside mirrors. The other Nissans (other than Rogues) that were interspersed with the Rogues did not have any webs (maybe there was one).

don't know if this is related, but back in the '80s, I had a black VW GTI. The wax of choice back then for black, blue or red cars was Gliptone. Whenever I would wax the car, the next day there would be spiders everywhere on the paint. They sure liked that stuff. If I tried some other brand in between waxing with Gliptone, no spiders (I remember because I hate spiders). So, maybe on the off chance, it might be related to the brand of wax being used.

Just like the 1996 Camry I no longer have, my Rogue has lots of spiders, beetles, water bugs, etc. I consider them guests and I welcome the company. I do what I can to protect them and not interfere with their living space. It's important to co-exist on this hideous planet we're all trapped on.

My 1985 and 1986 Camrys never had nearly as many uninvited visitors.

Definitely not something I had ever considered when buying a vehicle. Hope I don't have this problem in ours. If a big nasty one like the one pictured above dropped down on me while driving, it could be a disaster waiting to happen.
