Alright, so my car's sputtering when I start her up. It lasts at the most 10 seconds, and I'm not 100% sure why. I think it might be due to a lack of engine oil as I'm a little late on changing oil right now. Is there anything else that could be causing this?

check your spark plugs make sure they are not fouled. also the issue could be fuel pump related or moisture making its way into the engine.

Yeah, plugs and fuel pump are more likely. No other symptoms?

If your oil was too low you'd have more catastrophic problems, not just some sputtering.

Hmm, the fuel pump seems to be fine, so it's probably the spark plugs that need replacing. I don't believe the previous owner replaced it, so I'll get on that.

Also, VMPhil, you mentioned moisture going into the engine, which could also be the problem since it's rained pretty heavily out here for a couple of days. I'll check this out too.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, I live in Tampa, FL and it's been rainning every other day. Also how many miles do you have? I would do a full tune up that way your worries go away. Take care in Orlando FL Tell: Mickey and Daffy and Bugs Bunny I said Hello!
