Sputtering

Well the engine seems to run fine at first until warmed up.Then the exhaust tends to sputter, puff puff sound when its given gas the sound goes away and comes back when near 1k and to idle. I just got the car, still cleaning it up for the most part inside (previous owner had a dog and was a smoker) and engine bay. The plugs seems fine,I will probably be doing a tune-up on it fuel filter,ngk spark plugs, engine,diff,gear oil changes. Also the air bag light is on, guess I'll have to get that reset somwhere before inspection.How does 1 pull a code and reset the ecu, I got a cel from disconnection the maf to clean the intake as it was grimy, dirt and suit deposits all over.

I have the exact same problem and been through everything. I think it could be dirty IAC valve.

I fixed it I pulled ecu codes,(the cel doesn't come on and these are stored codes I learned from a friend meaning you have to manual check the ecu) misfire and knock sensor due to the misfire was triggered. I checked the spark plug it was improperly gapped,its now steady as a rock pulls harder.I got a free knock sensor from a maxima friend as I changed his out due to a bad harness.I cross-referenced the ks its used on a variety of nissan cars.

EDIT: So I ran the car today for a while then came back, still pulled the ks code so I have to change that out. I tested the used one for continuity its fine. I peeked at the old one sure is burried in there and there is some surface rust on the bolt...to the batcave :cool:
