Sputtering, Hesitation on my 95 KA24de

I drive my car every now and then hard like i was drag racing from a Stop Light going to a freeway here in the Bay Area. As i reach 75 mph, my car starts to Sputter and Hesitate. Then, i notice on low speeds on side street the car started doing the same. I have 211k miles on my speedometer. I had changed the plugs about three weeks ago. Has anybody encountered any problems like this. I was thinking maybe one of the plugs got busted. Or maybe I have to change my distributor cap and rotor. Also, thinking of changing spark plug wires too. I bought the car with 194k miles. Car runs fine before i drove the car to the max last night. What could i have broken on the engine. Do you guys think it is electrical related-like spark plugs, spark plug wires etc. or gas related-fuel pump, fuel filter? Car still drives except for some hesitation every now and then. please advise.

yea could be a lot of things really. Do a full tune up first....plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, and new air filter. If its still doing it, then look into injectors, fuel pump, MAFS, or even a vaccume leak.

check your harness wariering..specially by the maf plug..if that wiggles a little..it would couse that...and check your grounds too while your at it..get back to us all with what ya find.

my friends car was doing the same thing and he replaced the fuel pump and that fixed it so i would try that

To all,thanks for the info. i just drove the car today about 40 miles and sputtering and hesitation again, engine light is on now. what kind of equipment can i use to check what cause the engine light on. I would still do a full tune up though on my car after finding out what is causing the check engine light. where is the maf plug located? i guess we have a diagram here at nico under the technical section. if any of you can describe to me the location just post it. thanks guys for the info. i guess my problem got more complicated but i will check all the parts that need to be check.

you need an odb scanner..or just go down to autozone..and have them read it for you for free.
