sputtering but not starting..HELP!
sputtering but not starting..HELP!
i just put a redtop sr20det into a s13 fastback..i've done all of the wiring, made sure the fuel lines are connected correctly, replaced the gas, yet it still will not start. when i turn the ignition it will crank and then will let out a few "PUH" sounds from the exhaust. Can anyone help me out..I am for sure positive it is not the fuel lines..HELP!!!

Fuel = Gas tank>pump>filter>fuel rail>injectors>fuel pressure regulator>and back gas tank.
It sounds like the ignition timing is off. Though one time I was helping a guy do his timing and the damn thing would never turn over. Then we opened up his CAS and the dish inside was mangled and basically completely destroyed.
