sputtering after 4 psi

i got a red top sr in a 93 s13... if i try to get on i...it starts to sputter after about 4psi. Any ideas how to stop???

Well sputtering is usually detonation but at 4psi? hm.. Stock T25?

you probably have an air leak somewhere in the air intake system, make sure all your hoses are buttoned up good and tight if it's and intake hose check it for leaks because of this fun I made myself a little fitting to put an air flow meter and then I'll blow air in the intake with a pressure regulator in that way I can duplicate boost while the car is in the garage also ran into bad blowoff valves that only leak under boost to very annoying problem to run down.

have you replace this water temp sensor?i had some boost issue but after replaced this sensor im boosting fine.check out this link............... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...98349

are you running rich at all? clean your maf and make sure your timing is correct as well as your spark plug gap

granted, it wasnt an sr, but my old Merkur XR4Ti, would fall down at a few psi and >3000rpm. Ended up being plugs/wires.. Are your spark plugs good? gap correct?

1)maf....2)timming...3)iacv check them all u probabaly have a bad boost leak like the other guys have said
