sputter problems

my car should be boosting 18+ and when i hit about 10lbs my car starts sputtering and it won't boost any more i was wondering if my problem was the fuel filter because when i have a quarter tank it dies like it is empty. and if so is the filter in the tank

You're gonna have to post your whole setup... Not alot to go off of from what little you posted.Give us some more info, and we'd be more than happy to give you a hand!

i bought this car from a guy that had the motor (KA24det) work done at AMS, here is what I know about it.it has a AMS GT32 turbo, HKS EZ II boost controller, super airflow converter (S-AFCII), a full fuel rail and reg setup (50psi), new BKR7E spark plugs gaped at .040

ROFLMAO .040 there is your problem. Gap them down to .032 Granted it could be fine. But sounds just liek aspark blow out. Had that in mind when I clicked on this thread.

it worked i got more boost but i still sputtered out so i will close the gap up more and try it agian
